Publishing a book can be a daunting task unless a large publisher selects your manuscript to publish. But, nowadays, most publishers select such a small amount of manuscripts to publish each year, it's almost impossible to get them to give yours a second glance. That is, of course, unless you are already a best-selling author or a celebrity. There are other ways to get your book published. You could publish your manuscript as an e-book, choose to self-publish, use a Print-on-Demand (POD) printer or a Digital printer, use a book producer, or get a literary agent to present your book to a large publisher. There is also a subsidy (or vanity) printer - but, beware of these! They are expensive to use and usually keep all rights and copyrights in their name, not the authors! Penworth Publishing is a small book producer and we publish between 6 to 8 books a year. The books we publish are non-fiction business or how-to books and we are hired by the project.
